We have an extensive range of laboratory equipment in stock which allows running of tests at the practice rather than having to send samples to an external laboratory.

This means we can see results faster and provide your pet with appropriate treatment sooner.

• Bacterial Sensitivity Analysis

• Microscopy
• Urinalysis

• Pre-Anaesthetic Blood Testing

The majority of in-house tests can be completed within 15-30 minutes providing a while-you-wait service for our clients.

If the test required is not available in house, for most tests, samples are collected by courier on a daily basis, ensuring the minimum of delay in getting test results back to us.

When we receive your pets results, they will be analysed by the vet who will call you to discuss them at the earliest opportunity.

We recommend pre-anaesthetic blood testing and/or lungworm testing before surgical proceedures for some patients. Pre-anaesthetic blood testing allows us to identify if your pet would benefit from additional support during the operation, whilst lungworm testing can potentially avoid surgical complications due to impeded blood clotting.
